Like the new look at The Bridges? Friday August 20th, 2010 Over the past few months The Bridges at Tillsonburg has received an approximate $300,000 upgrade in paving, construction and beautification improvements. And the good news is… shareholders, playing members and guests alike will not be levied ‘any’ assessments, fees or increased dues. So how is this all happening and why? Well, Ed McLaughlin, along with a few of his golfing friends recognized that we already have beautiful course. They felt that with paved cart paths, some construction and landscaping improvements, a more appealing product could be offered, one where golfers would want to go to golf and enjoy themselves. So the idea of the Grand Event came about. It will be the celebration of the completed improvement projects. Along with the Carroll Trail (and a host of other amenities throughout the town) the expanded and now improved Bridges at Tillsonburg too could be something the community would be proud of and benefit from as well. There are three (3) levels of involvement a golfer, a hole sponsor and a dinner patron. As a golfer the first 144 to commit to this all-inclusive day will enjoy a round of golf on a beautiful course with an endless supply of complimentary drinks, lunch, dinner, fun and socializing for the entire day and evening. Fee per golfer is $1,000. As one of the 18 hole sponsors you may choose to organize contests, trivia events, games, lucky draws, etc. to promote your wares, goods, products and/or services at a designated tee. A $2,500 contribution is required. Those that enter a team of 4 golfers may become a hole sponsor for only an additional $1,000. Those wanting to support the event but are not able or interested in golf are encouraged to join in for a mouthwatering prime rib dinner and unlimited drinks. An evening of fun and socializing is guaranteed with musical entertainment provided by Tillsonburg’s own-Paige Gilvesy. Dinner and festivities is only $500 per person. Be part of and support a day that will be long remembered. No one will be turned away that wants to be part of the event. Payment plans are available. Please see the pro shop for a participation form and contact one of the committee members for a ticket. Please make cheques payable to “The Grand Event”.
